By bringing fragmented data sources together, you help make data-driven policy decisions that improve people's lives. As we move into the next phase of our mission, you will play a critical role in maturing our data governance frameworks and pioneering the AI-enabled insights that will make these services more responsive and efficient.

This position is 100% remote. Our entire team is remote across the United States, from the West Coast to the East Coast. There will never be a return-to-office, as we have none!
This position's published base salary range is between $110,000 and $140,000 annually, plus generous benefits (e.g., For People pays 100% of Gold-tier employee health insurance premiums) and annual company profit sharing.
Your Opportunities
At For People, you will:
- Develop and implement data models to find efficiencies and identify trends using statistical techniques.
- Analyze large-scale healthcare datasets, specifically focusing on the Transformed Medicaid Statistical Information System (T-MSIS) Analytic Files (TAF), to generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate within a dedicated team of analysts and program experts to build interactive self-service dashboards that translate complex metrics into user-centric visualizations.
- Support the incremental development of data governance frameworks to ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and security.
- Utilize human-centered design principles to ensure all technical outputs are intuitive, accessible, and directly aligned with the needs of stakeholders and beneficiaries.
You Bring

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering complex data projects.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large, complex datasets.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation.
- Experience working with data pipelines and ETL processes in a modern cloud environment.
- A deep curiosity and passion for untangling complex problems and a drive to see your work create a positive social impact.
Additional Details
You will be working on a United States government platform, and they have a few basic requirements for contractors like ourselves. You must perform all work physically within the United States at all times. In addition, you must be a United States citizen and be able to pass a government-performed public trust background check.
